Tender Harvest Home Aid is a new, locally owned home-care company in Kamloops, founded by Amy Merriam, a care aide with 20 years of experience. We're built on one simple idea: the same aide every visit, so clients see a familiar face and aides actually know the people they support. We're hiring care aides now — experienced aides and trainees — ahead of our launch. What the work is: non-medical home support in clients' homes — personal care support, respite for families, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and rides to appointments. Aides drive their own vehicles between clients' homes.
What we offer
- Experienced aides: $30/hour
- Trainees: $26/hour, with training support (we help with certification costs)
- Benefits after a 3-month probation: health spending account plus group benefits and a 3% RRSP match for experienced aides
- $300 referral bonus and $300 anniversary bonuses
- A small local company where you're a name,
not a number What you need:
- A kind, reliable nature and respect for seniors and families
- A valid driver's licence and your own vehicle
- A clean criminal record check for working with vulnerable people (required before starting; we walk you through it)
- First Aid/CPR is an asset — if you don't have it, we'll help you get it
- Care aide certification is an asset but not required — experienced and trainee aides are both welcome
