Overview Extreme Window & Entrance Systems is hiring a Technical Sales Support Representative to support our Atlantic Canadian dealer network. This role focuses on dealer service and technical support—not cold calling or outbound sales. You will prepare and review window and door quotes, manage standard and special orders, and assist dealers by phone and email. We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented professional who can manage competing priorities and keep dealers supported in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings a customer-first approach, clear communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities. Previous experience in windows and doors, building materials, contractor sales, estimating, construction, or a related technical sales role is required. Compensation & Incentives: Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications, with additional earning potential through performance-based sales incentives. Responsibilities
- Dealer account support: Serve as a primary contact for assigned dealers, respond promptly and professionally, clarify project requirements, and provide consistent follow-up.
- Technical product support: Answer dealer questions on product specifications, performance ratings, sizing, configurations, and installation details; identify compatibility concerns; and help ensure selections meet project and code requirements.
- Quotation revisions and value recommendations: Keep quotations current as projects evolve, clearly communicate changes to dealers, and recommend alternatives or upgrades that add value while meeting lead-time requirements.
- Order entry, confirmation, and changes: Convert approved quotations and purchase orders into accurate sales orders; verify pricing, dimensions, configurations, quantities, options, delivery details,
and dates; issue order confirmations; and process changes to confirmed orders according to company procedures.
- Special-order and vendor coordination: Prepare purchase requests or orders for outside products and components, communicate complete specifications and required dates, confirm supplier acknowledgements match each order, and update internal records and dealer commitments.
- Issue and service support: Investigate pricing discrepancies, shortages, delays, and dealer concerns; collect complete service information and supporting documentation; coordinate corrective action; escalate complex matters; and remain accountable until resolution is communicated.
- Plan review and quotations: Review and interpret plans, specifications, and measurements to identify quoting requirements and recommend suitable product options or alternatives based on project needs.
- Records and priority management: Keep quote, order, and dealer communication records accurate and up to date, and prioritize work based on customer urgency, production deadlines, and business impact.
- Product knowledge and process improvement: Maintain current knowledge of products, pricing, lead times, policies, and procedures; participate in training; share recurring dealer feedback; and recommend improvements that strengthen accuracy, response times, and the customer experience.
- Quoting software support: Support dealers and staff with quoting software by troubleshooting issues, assisting with training, and testing updates to help ensure quotes are accurate. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business administration, construction, estimating, or a related field is an asset.
- Experience in windows and doors, building materials, contractor sales, estimating, construction, or a related technical sales role is required.
- A background in detailed quoting and dealer support is preferred.
- Ability to read construction plans, specifications, and measurements; knowledge of applicable building codes is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, helpful approach.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, time management, and follow-through.
- Proven ability to investigate and resolve pricing, order, and service issues effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams; experience with ERP, quoting, or order-entry software is an asset.
- Proficiency in both English and French is an asset. Why Join Extreme? Join a growing team where teamwork, safety, continuous improvement, and professional growth are valued.
