Located on the Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Air Buddies is a 24-hour pet boarding and daycare facility committed to providing exceptional care, safety, and comfort for the pets entrusted to us. We are looking for individuals who understand that working with animals is more than simply loving pets. It requires responsibility, patience, attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, compassionate daily care to boarding and daycare dogs.
- Supervise dogs during outdoor activities, exercise, and playtime while maintaining a safe environment.
- Prepare and administer meals and medication according to individual feeding/dosage instructions.
- Monitor animal behaviour, health, and overall well-being, promptly reporting any concerns.
- Maintain exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout kennels, suites, play areas, and common spaces.
- Follow established animal handling procedures, safety protocols, and operational policies.
- Assist with pet arrivals, departures, and daily care documentation.
- Communicate professionally with management, coworkers, and clients.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care. Qualifications & Requirements We are seeking candidates who demonstrate:

- Strong work ethic: Willingness to take initiative, remain productive, and complete assigned responsibilities without constant supervision.
- Animal handling confidence: Comfort working with dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, personalities, and energy levels.
- Attention to detail: Ability to accurately follow feeding instructions, care routines, and safety procedures.
- Professionalism: Respectful communication, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Physical capability: Ability perform physically demanding duties throughout a shift.
- Good judgment: Ability to recognize changes in animal behaviour and respond calmly and appropriately.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work in a 24-hour operation, including shifts that may fall on evenings, weekends, overnight hours, and holidays. Previous experience in a boarding kennel, veterinary clinic, animal shelter, daycare facility, or other animal care environment is considered an asset.
