Shape ChargeLab’s EV charging platform through architecture, interoperability, and engineering standards while working from home and Etobicoke office days. Solve systems challenges at scale. This Staff Engineer role sits on the Engineering Scale track and supports software used to manage large EV charger networks. You will partner with Product and customer-facing teams, guide technical direction, and mentor engineers across teams. Your work will influence patterns, frameworks, and specialist depth without assigning engineering tasks. Key Responsibilities:

Partner with Product on technically sound business plans Support customer-facing teams with platform direction Challenge outdated approaches using evidence Retire technical approaches that no longer serve business needs Lead Quarterly Lab Days planning and roadmap work Requirements:

Experience architecting complex systems at scale Expertise in distributed, event-driven system trade-offs Interoperability experience with OCPP, OCPI, or ISO 15118 Excellent written and verbal communication B2B SaaS, IoT, or AWS experience preferred Apply your platform architecture, interoperability knowledge, and technical influence to ChargeLab’s EV charging software ecosystem.
