About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain robust relationships with key media contacts, industry stakeholders, and community leaders. Craft compelling press releases, statements, speeches, and other communication materials. Oversee the company's reputation management efforts and monitor media coverage. Develop and execute internal communication strategies to ensure employee alignment and engagement. Organize press conferences, media briefings, and corporate events.



Collaborate with government affairs and legal departments on communication strategies. Provide guidance and training to company spokespersons. Analyze communication effectiveness and report on key metrics to senior management. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in public relations, with significant experience in corporate communications and crisis management. Proven experience in the mining or resources sector is highly desirable. Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with media and stakeholders. Strong understanding of the South African media landscape and regulatory environment. Experience in developing and managing internal communications. Strategic thinking and excellent problem-solving abilities.
