Job Title: Sr. SAS Administrator (Azure)

Toronto, ON – Hybrid, 2 Days Onsite Duration: Long-Term Contract Job Summary We are looking for a Senior SAS Administrator / SAS Platform Administrator with strong experience managing enterprise SAS 9.4 / SAS Visual Analytics environments on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in SAS platform administration, Azure infrastructure, Linux, Lustre storage, deployment automation, upgrades, patching, security, and disaster recovery. This role will serve as a technical lead for SAS platform operations, infrastructure optimization, automation, and production support.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead administration and support of SAS 9.4, SAS Visual Analytics, and SAS Grid environments hosted on Azure.
• Manage SAS platform architecture, scalability, availability, performance, and operational stability.
• Perform SAS upgrades, hotfixes, maintenance releases, migrations, and environment refreshes.
• Manage Enterprise Deployment Pipeline (EDP) processes for server provisioning, deployments, patching, and infrastructure changes.
• Lead Azure server build, configuration, hardening, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Administer Azure VMs, Application Gateway, Load Balancer, VNet, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, and Azure Monitor.
• Manage SSL certificates, DNS routing, secure web access, and application connectivity.
• Administer Lustre distributed file systems supporting SAS Grid and enterprise analytics workloads.
• Perform Lustre performance tuning, capacity planning, storage expansion, troubleshooting, backup, and recovery.
• Develop automation for deployment, patching, monitoring, backup, recovery, and operational support.
• Manage SAS Metadata, authentication, service accounts, roles, permissions,



and enterprise identity integration.
• Troubleshoot complex SAS, Linux, Azure, networking, performance, and application integration issues.
• Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of production incidents.
• Support high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, and environment recovery testing.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Infrastructure, Network, Security, Architecture, and Application teams.
• Support security, audit, vulnerability remediation, governance, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in production support, change management, release management, and major incident activities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to SAS administrators and support teams.
• Drive platform automation, optimization, standardization, and continuous improvement. Required Skills
• 8+ years of enterprise SAS Platform Administration experience.
• 5+ years supporting SAS platforms on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAS 9.4, SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Grid, and SAS Metadata.
• Strong experience with Enterprise Deployment Pipeline (EDP).
• Experience with SAS upgrades, hotfixes, patching, migrations, and setting refreshes.
• Hands-on Azure experience with VMs, Application Gateway, Load Balancer, VNet, Key Vault, Storage, and Azure Monitor.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting skills.
• Hands-on experience with Lustre distributed file systems.
• Experience with SSL certificates, DNS, load balancing, and secure network configurations.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and configuration management.
• Strong knowledge of HA, DR, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Experience troubleshooting large-scale enterprise SAS environments.
• Strong communication, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
