Scaling Precision Medicine with PhenoTips At PhenoTips, we are transforming genetic medicine by helping healthcare providers seamlessly integrate genomic insights into patient care. Backed by top Canadian investors, leading healthcare institutions, and researchers, our platform powers precision medicine for health systems, clinics, and research organizations worldwide. We are looking for a Senior Full-stack Software Developer who can move confidently across our front-end and back-end to build features that directly shape how clinicians capture, interpret, and act on genomic data. You will work closely with Product, Design, and fellow engineers to ship reliable, secure, and performant software in a regulated healthcare environment. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants ownership over meaningful technical decisions and can operate with limited oversight. Pay range: CA$90,000 – $125,000. We understand that compensation is a large factor in evaluating opportunities. This pay range represents our target for the role, and is determined by market data, the planned responsibilities, and internal equity. Offers are usually near the midpoint, but the final amount may be adjusted based on your experience and skills. One Year From Now, Here’s How You’ll Be Seen: Your Team Sees You As – A dependable, technically strong engineer who owns features end to end, writes code others trust, and raises the bar on how the team builds and reviews software. Customers See You As – The reason their day to day with PhenoTips feels effortless. The features you build work the way they expect, load when they need them to, and hold up as their workflows grow more complex. The Company Sees You As – A key technical contributor who can be trusted with ambiguous problems, who ships thoughtfully in a healthcare context, and who helps the engineering team scale sustainably. How You’ll Make This Happen Build and Ship Full Stack Features

• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and contribute to a codebase that will keep growing in scale and complexity.
• Participate in code reviews as both reviewer and author, holding a high bar for quality, security, and clarity.
• Debug and resolve production issues, balancing speed with the care required in a healthcare software environment. Own Technical Decisions and Quality
• Contribute to architectural discussions and make sound tradeoffs between speed, maintainability, and scalability.

• Modernize and refactor existing code and frameworks while maintaining legacy functionality where needed.
• Help evolve our engineering practices, including testing strategy, CI/CD, and deployment processes.
• Protect patient health information in line with PHIPA, HIPAA, UK GDPR and NHS data security requirements, and the security reviews our hospital customers carry out
• Proactively identify technical debt and bring forward pragmatic proposals to address it. Collaborate Across Product and Engineering
• Partner with Product and clinical workflow specialists to translate customer and clinical needs into well-scoped, buildable features.
• Work with fellow engineers on shared services and components, keeping the platform consistent and easy to extend.
• Communicate progress, risks, and technical tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support junior engineers and the onboarding and training of recent team members, as required. Document and Share Knowledge
• Write clear PRs, technical specs and developer documentation for features, APIs and workflows What You Bring
