Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Senior Advisor – Controllership to support financial reporting, technical accounting, governance, and business performance management.

The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in IFRS, financial controls, month-end closing, and financial analysis, along with the ability to provide strategic accounting advice and collaborate with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support month-end closing, financial reporting, reconciliations, and journal entry reviews.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, accounting policies, and internal control requirements.
- Perform financial variance analysis and provide insights on business performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead technical accounting assessments for complex transactions and provide recommendations.
- Support accounting judgements, estimates, disclosures, and audit-related matters.
- Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Legal, Operations,



and senior business stakeholders.
- Identify financial reporting risks and strengthen governance and control frameworks.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization of finance operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Strong experience in technical accounting and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with IFRS in complex business environments.
- Expertise in month-end close, reconciliations, financial controls, and reporting.
- Strong financial analysis and variance analysis skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret complex financial information and provide business recommendations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken).

Important Requirements
- Must be based in or able to commute to Montreal, QC.
- Minimum 3 days onsite per week.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is mandatory.
