Role Description The Data Platform Operations Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for maintaining and supporting data platforms used across client and internal environments. This role involves monitoring system health, managing deployments, and performing routine maintenance to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of data infrastructure. The engineer will investigate incidents, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate with development and support teams to implement fixes and improvements.

Day-to-day work includes managing Linux and Windows-based environments,



optimizing configurations, handling user requests, and documenting operational procedures and runbooks. The role also includes collaborating with stakeholders to improve platform stability, participating in on-call rotations as needed, and contributing to automation and process enhancements.

- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and a structured approach to problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to diagnose, resolve, and prevent infrastructure and application issues on data platforms.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service and communication skills to support internal teams and external clients in a clear, professional manner.
- Candidates should possess hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, including system administration, scripting, and performance monitoring.
- Experience with databases, data pipelines, or data warehouse platforms (e.g., SQL-based systems, cloud data services) is beneficial.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code or automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD) is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively in distributed teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
