About Jereh Canada

Jereh Canada Corporation is part of Jereh Group and supports the company’s growing presence in the Canadian energy market. As the Canadian organization expands, the infrastructure supporting its employees and leadership must develop alongside the business.

HR is one of the functions being established more locally. This position will become the dedicated HR presence supporting the Canadian organization, working directly with local leadership while remaining connected to the broader Jereh North American Group HR function.

For someone who has worked in a growing operation, the opportunity is less about stepping into an established HR structure and more about helping determine what the organization needs as it develops.

Overview The HR Generalist will manage the day-to-day HR needs of Jereh Canada while establishing the processes, documentation, and operating practices required to support continued growth.

The scope extends across the employee lifecycle, including employee relations, onboarding, offer preparation, performance management, HR policy administration, employee documentation, and select recruitment support. The position will also identify areas where local HR processes need to be created, clarified, or strengthened.

This is not a recruiting-only, onboarding-only, or HR coordinator position. The person in this role will regularly move between employee matters, leadership support, compliance, documentation, and process development.

Reporting directly to the Jereh Canada Corporation Vice President and functionally to the Jereh North American Group HR Director, the role will have visibility into both the immediate needs of the Canadian business and the broader HR standards of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for Jereh Canada employees and local leadership.
- Manage HR activities across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offer letters, employee relations, performance matters, employee documentation, and offboarding.
- Build, document, and improve Canadian HR processes as the organization grows.

- Support managers with employee relations matters, performance management, policy interpretation, and workforce issues.
- Maintain HR practices in accordance with applicable Canadian employment legislation, Alberta employment standards, and company policies.
- Identify HR gaps, emerging workforce needs, and potential employee-related risks and bring them forward with practical recommendations.
- Partner with the Jereh North American Group HR team to maintain alignment on HR practices, policies, and broader organizational requirements.
- Coordinate HR information and employee changes related to payroll, benefits, personnel records, and other employee lifecycle activities.
- Support select recruitment activities as business needs require while maintaining primary responsibility for broader HR operations.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, and workforce reporting.
- Support the development and implementation of localized policies, procedures, and employee programs.
- Assist leadership with talent management, workforce planning, and employee development as the Canadian organization expands.
- Support HR requirements across additional Canadian locations as operations develop.

Required Qualifications

- Progressive HR Generalist experience with direct responsibility across multiple stages of the employee lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience managing employee relations, onboarding, offer preparation, performance management, HR documentation, and policy administration.
- Working knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and provincial employment standards, with practical experience applying those requirements in the workplace.

- Experience supporting managers directly on employee and workforce matters.
- Demonstrated experience building, improving, or formalizing HR processes rather than working exclusively within an established HR structure.
- Experience independently managing HR responsibilities with limited local HR infrastructure or serving as a primary HR contact for a business unit, office, or operating location.
- Ability to work full time onsite at the Jereh Canada office in Calgary, Alberta.

Desired Qualifications

- Experience supporting a growing, early-stage, or rapidly changing organization.
- Experience within energy, oil and gas, power generation, manufacturing, industrial services, engineering, or another operationally driven environment.
- Exposure to compensation and benefits administration, HRIS, payroll coordination, and workforce reporting.
- Experience supporting employees or operations across multiple Canadian locations.
- Experience helping establish localized HR practices within a larger national or international organization.

Leadership Expectations

- Establish a dependable local HR presence for employees and leadership as Jereh Canada expands.
- Operate with sufficient autonomy to address day-to-day HR needs while recognizing matters requiring broader HR or leadership involvement.
- Maintain direct communication with the Jereh Canada Corporation Vice President regarding local workforce priorities, organizational needs, and emerging issues.
- Maintain functional alignment with the Jereh North American Group HR Director on HR standards, employee matters, policy, compliance, and organizational practices.
- Surface employee relations, compliance, and workforce risks early enough for leadership to act.
- Translate business growth into practical HR requirements, including processes, documentation, workforce support, and employee programs.
- Establish HR practices that can remain effective as the Canadian employee population and operating footprint grow.
- Help define how employees experience HR in Canada as the company builds its localized HR capability.
