Position: Power Systems Engineer (Canada)

Type: Contract

Compensation: Up to $96/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: Part time, flexible, task-based

No prior AI experience required.

Role Responsibilities

- Create expert-level power engineering problems grounded in real design, analysis, testing, commissioning, operations and field work.
- Review AI-generated responses for technical accuracy, practical feasibility, safety and alignment with industry standards.
- Evaluate calculations and assumptions on power flow, short-circuit analysis, protection and grid stability.
- Provide clear, structured written feedback on AI model performance.

Requirements

- 2+ years of hands-on power systems engineering experience.
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or a closely related field. A BS in Electrical Engineering also qualifies when paired with strong industry experience.
- Experience in areas such as transmission or distribution, microgrids, high-voltage equipment, protection and control, power-flow analysis, grid integration or utility operations.
- Based in Canada.
