Join an AI and engineering software team building tools for designing physical systems. You will help improve the product experience and ship recent capabilities as the team develops an agent-driven approach to software development.
What You'll Do
- Work with a frontend engineer to improve the product UI and accelerate production releases.
- Take on increasingly backend-focused full stack work across features, infrastructure, and systems.
- Own features end to end, including architecture, deployment, and reliability.
- Establish practices for effective AI coding agent use across the engineering team.
- Collaborate with forward-deployed engineers and AI researchers to prototype and refine product ideas for industrial customers.
What We're Looking For
- Three to ten years of software or full stack engineering experience.
- Strong backend skills, capable frontend skills,
and hands-on experience building complex full stack web products.
- Experience taking products or significant features from concept through production, with high ownership in a startup environment.
- Experience with React, TypeScript, and .NET, and enthusiasm for using AI coding agents to improve development.
- Ability to debug and review code generated with AI tools.
- Interest in physical systems, engineering design, CAD, or simulation.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $200,000 to $275,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Hybrid, with a primary location in Canada. The role requires one week on-site in San Mateo, California, every six weeks. Candidates must be based in the United States or Canada and authorized to work without sponsorship.
