About the Role

Our client, a national e-commerce fulfillment company, is seeking a highly organized and motivated Remote Logistics Dispatcher Coordinator to manage and coordinate delivery schedules from their virtual hub. This fully remote position is vital for ensuring the smooth and efficient dispatch of goods across various regions. You will be responsible for communicating with drivers, managing delivery routes, resolving dispatch issues, and maintaining accurate records, all from your own workspace. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, independent work environment, connecting with our network across South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and manage daily dispatch activities for a fleet of delivery drivers.
- Assign delivery routes and schedules to drivers, ensuring optimal efficiency and adherence to timelines.
- Communicate effectively with drivers via phone, messaging apps, and dispatch software to provide instructions and updates.
- Monitor driver progress and delivery status in real-time, proactively addressing any delays or issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve dispatch-related problems, such as rerouting or addressing vehicle breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all dispatch activities, driver performance, and delivery confirmations.
- Liaise with customer service and warehouse teams to ensure seamless coordination of shipments.
- Ensure drivers adhere to company policies, safety regulations,



and delivery protocols.
- Respond to inquiries from drivers, customers, and internal departments regarding dispatch and delivery status.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of dispatch processes and efficiency.

Requirements

- Proven experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, or a similar role within a transport or delivery environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage drivers remotely.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with dispatch software, route planning tools, and basic computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets).
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and handle unexpected situations.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in record-keeping.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable home workspace.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in logistics is a plus.
