Apply cytogenetics and molecular genetics training at UHN while performing laboratory procedures, troubleshooting equipment, and documenting clinical test results.

This permanent full-time Medical Laboratory Technologist position belongs to UHN's Laboratory Medicine Program, Genetics. The role requires current CMLTO registration and specialization in Cytogenetics or Molecular Genetics. Clinical experience is preferred, with opportunities to develop knowledge across laboratory areas through on-the-job experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform assigned genetics laboratory procedures and functions
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned work areas
- Document procedures and test results in required reports




- Coach technical staff and participate in continuing education

Requirements:

- Completion of recognized MLT genetics education program
- Current CMLTO registration and genetics specialization
- Preferred clinical Cytogenetics or Molecular Genetics laboratory experience
- Ability to recognize problems and develop effective solutions
- Ability to organize priorities and work accurately under stress
