Position: Senior Software Engineer

Type: Contract

Compensation: $100-$150/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 20-40 hours/week, about 3 months

Role Responsibilities

- Design and refine rubrics and evaluation criteria for preference data.
- Review and label data to a high quality bar, catching subtle issues.
- Build and maintain pipelines supporting data generation, collection and evaluation.
- Write up findings and recommendations for the team.

Requirements

- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Go or another major production language.
- Experience in substantial real-world codebases, with robust code-review skills and experience using modern LLMs or AI coding tools.
- Based in North America, with at least 6 hours of Pacific Time overlap a day.
