8-10 yrs in experience in ITAM/ Discovery . Min 5 yrs in ITAMWe are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Discovery & IT Asset Management (ITAM) SME to lead the configuration, administration, maintenance, and optimization of ServiceNow Discovery and ITAM capabilities.

The role will focus on Discovery, MID Servers, CMDB, Service Mapping, Hardware Asset Management (HAM), and Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro).

The SME will work closely with Infrastructure, Security, Procurement, Application Support, and ITSM/ITOM teams to improve infrastructure visibility, maintain accurate configuration and asset data, support audits, and maximize the value of IT assets.

Required Skills/Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and support ServiceNow ITAM solutions including:

o Hardware Asset Management (HAM)

o Software Asset Management (SAM)

o Asset Lifecycle Management o Discovery and CMDB integrations

- Configure and maintain ServiceNow ITAM modules, workflows, forms, business rules, and integrations.
- Configure complex publisher packs for vendors like Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, and SAP
- Manage end-to-end asset lifecycle processes including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
- Support software license compliance, entitlement management, and audit readiness activities.
- Perform data reconciliation between CMDB, Discovery, procurement systems, and asset repositories.
- Develop reports, dashboards,



and KPIs related to asset utilization, compliance, and lifecycle management.
- Troubleshoot platform issues and provide production support.
- Collaborate with IT, procurement, security, and compliance teams for asset governance initiatives.
- Participate in upgrades, patching, and platform enhancement activities.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Discovery Configuration: Configure and manage horizontal and cloud discovery schedules, credentials, MID servers, probes, sensors, and patterns.
- CMDB Health & Governance: Support data quality initiatives, resolve CI duplication using the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE), and enforce CSDM standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve scanning failures, network connectivity issues, and MID server bottlenecks to optimize performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with network, server, cloud (AWS, Azure), and security teams to maintain accurate CI ownership and dependency mapping.
- Infrastructure Knowledge: Robust understanding of Windows/Linux administration, networking protocols (SNMP, SSH, WMI, TCP/IP), and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS – Discovery), and ITIL Foundation preferred.
