Provide specialized newborn care as a Registered Nurse in the Level II NICU at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. Apply critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.

This temporary part-time Registered Nurse position supports NICU/Women & Children's Health. You will care for premature newborns and infants with wide-ranging health challenges while collaborating with Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Physicians, Social Workers, Dietitians, and allied professionals. The role also supports Pediatrics, Labour & Delivery, and Maternal/Child units as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide safe, quality patient- and family-centered nursing care
- Assess newborns and respond appropriately to status changes
- Use nursing processes, critical thinking, and decision making
- Teach, counsel,



and advocate for patients and families
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support related units

Requirements:

- Complete an accredited nursing education program
- Hold active or eligible Alberta registration and practice permit
- Maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Demonstrate newborn assessment and care knowledge
- Demonstrate communication, teamwork, prioritization, and confidentiality skills
