As a Band 6 Staff Nurse, you will support Ward Sister and Charge Nurse management while delivering specialist cancer care. The post combines clinical judgment, care planning, patient education, chemotherapy checks, and clinical trial coordination. You will assess patients and families, develop supportive plans, and maintain accountability under the NMC code.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and supervise shifts with multidisciplinary teams
- Assess cancer patients and families’ holistic needs
- Countercheck chemotherapy prescriptions, consent, and clinical measurements
- Plan, document, deliver, and evaluate care plans
- Educate patients about treatments, indications, and side effects

Requirements:

- Band 6 nursing experience or capability
- Clinical judgment about long-term patient goals
- Accountability for care under the NMC code
- Ability to support clinical trials and protocols
- Ability to perform pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic sampling
