Operate heavy equipment for the Township of Oro-Medonte in Ontario, using trucks, loaders, excavators, and snowplow attachments. Full-time work supports public operations.

The Equipment Operator reports to the Operations Division within Operations & Community Services. This position requires construction equipment operation, large commercial motor vehicle competency, and knowledge of maintenance and construction practices. Winter afternoon shifts may support operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate front-end loaders, excavators, skid steers, and tractors
- Drive trucks with dump boxes, sanders, and snowplow wings
- Review and follow up on directed work orders
- Respond to emergency roadside tree removal
- Install barricades for road closures and detours

Requirements:

- Grade 12 or equivalent and two years related experience
- Valid Ontario Class DZ driver’s licence
- Satisfactory driver’s abstract
- Ability to perform physical duties using heavy equipment
- Availability for adaptable, standby, and on-call shifts
