Support infection prevention at UHN’s Reactivation Care Centre as an Environmental Services Aide, using cleaning and disinfection skills across hospital areas.
This permanent part time position supports Environmental Services at the UHN Reactivation Care Centre. The Environmental Aide performs routine cleaning, handles waste, replenishes supplies, and uses chemicals and equipment according to procedures. The role also supports patient experience and facility standards. Availability for day, evening, night, weekend, and statutory holiday shifts is required.
Key Responsibilities: Clean and disinfect patient rooms, clinics, stations, and public areas
Mop, vacuum, dust, replenish washroom supplies, and maintain facility areas
Handle recycling, compost, garbage, biomedical, and cytotoxic waste
Use cleaning chemicals, ladders,



mops, vacuums, and equipment safely
Attend meetings, safety huddles, education, and required training
Requirements: High school completion or equivalent education and training
Relevant environmental services experience considered an asset
Ability to lift up to 25 kilograms and meet physical demands
Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking ability
Ability to perform calculations and meet UHN quality standards
