The role

We're looking for an Architectural Technologist with a strong technical foundation to produce and coordinate construction documents from schematic design through to construction administration. In addition to drafting, we need someone with a firm understanding of building science, detailing, and construction practices.

What you'll do

- Prepare permit and construction drawing sets, details, and specifications.
- Develop wall sections, building envelope assemblies, and construction details.
- Review designs for Ontario Building Code compliance and help prepare permit applications.
- Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical consultants and resolve conflicts.
- Support contract administration: shop drawing reviews, RFIs, site reviews, and deficiency reports.
- Maintain drawing standards, BIM models, and project documentation.

What we're looking for





- Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology (or equivalent)
- 7+ years of experience producing construction documents, with a demonstrated, solid technical background in:
- building construction methods and materials
- building envelope and building science principles
- the Ontario Building Code (Parts 3 and 9)
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Ability to manage drawing sets independently and meet deadlines

- BCIN qualification
- OAAAT membership or Licensed Technologist OAA designation
- AATO member
- Site or construction experience
- Experience with industrial and commercial projects.
