Company Description Mathnasium of Carlington is a math learning centre serving Kindergarten to Grade 12 students in Carlington, Ottawa, and surrounding communities through personalized math instruction. Role Description The Bilingual Math Instructor is a full time, on-site role based at Mathnasium of Carlington in Ottawa, ON. The instructor will teach math to students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 using the Mathnasium Method™, providing individualized support in both English and French. Daily responsibilities include delivering engaging lessons, guiding students through personalized learning plans, assisting with homework, test and exam preparation, and offering enrichment for advanced learners.

The instructor will assess student understanding,



track progress, and adjust instruction to meet each learner’s needs and goals. The role also involves collaborating with centre leadership, maintaining a positive and protected learning environment, and communicating progress to parents and guardians as needed.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with the ability to teach concepts across Kindergarten to Grade 12.
- Experience with Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, especially in creating or adapting materials to meet diverse learner needs.
- Status as a Qualified Teacher or equivalent instructional experience in a tutoring, classroom, or learning centre environment.
- Proficiency in English and French, with the ability to explain math concepts clearly in both languages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient, encouraging approach to working with children and teens.
- Ability to follow and implement structured instructional methods such as the Mathnasium Method™.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for tracking student progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Availability to work full-time hours, including after-school and weekend shifts as needed.
- Post-secondary education in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is preferred.
