Employment type: Permanent, full-time employee position (T4), including CPP, EI, vacation pay, and WCB coverage
About Studio Belle Atelier For 14 years, Studio Belle Atelier has created transformational portrait experiences for women and their loved ones in Calgary. Many of our clients have put this off for years. Some are celebrating, some are reclaiming something, and all of them deserve to be truly seen. We're looking for one exceptional person to guide them from their very first conversation with us to the moment they choose the portraits they'll treasure for a lifetime.
The role
This is not a booking role, and it is not a retail role. It is the most important relationship in a client's Studio Belle journey, held by one person from beginning to end.
You'll begin as the first voice of Studio Belle. In consultation calls of about 25–30 minutes, you'll learn who each client is and why she came to us, build the creative vision for her session, walk her through the day, present her investment with confidence, and secure her booking. You will be responsible for outbound calls to our leads, you will establish relationships with clients and schedule appointments for the Studio.
You will also be returning calls and following up on leads. You will ask the clients qualifying questions to uncover needs and motivations, and ensure that each client receives a consultative experience. The session brief you write guides our photographers and stylists, so the quality of her session reflects the quality of your call.
As you grow, you'll help those same clients navigate their private portrait reveal on their session day.
You'll guide them through seeing themselves in a completely new way and help them choose the artwork and collections that matter most to them.
What you'll do
- Work through every client journey from their first inquiry to booking
- Lead consultation calls with new leads, including timely outbound follow-up at different stages of their journey
- Uncover each client's story and motivations and translate them into a detailed session brief
- Present session investments and collect retainers with confidence
- Keep accurate, real-time notes in our CRM
- Once certified, lead private reveal and ordering appointments, recommending artwork that matches what each client values
- Accurately complete orders, payment plans, and financing documentation
- Work toward explicit goals for bookings, show rate, and average sale
You are our person if
- You are genuinely curious about people and moved by their stories
- You listen before you speak and never ask someone to repeat what she's already told you
- You can hold emotional weight without flinching, staying present without rushing past it
- You are completely at ease discussing money and asking for the sale, without pressure and without apology
- You are warm, polished, and personal all at once
- You follow a proven process and welcome coaching and accountability
- You bring the same energy to your last appointment of the day as to your first
Experience we value
- High-ticket consultative sales: luxury retail, bridal, jewellery, aesthetics, beauty, wellness, coaching, interior design, or anywhere the conversation is the product
- Phone-based consultations or appointment setting
- Comfort with CRMs and taking payments
- Photography experience is not required. We'll teach you everything about our products and process.
Schedule
- Full-time, up to 40 hours per week, 5 days a week (including Saturday). Saturday availability is required.
- What we offer
- Base pay plus commission once you’re fully trained and certified to conduct portrait reveals and sales, with significant growth in earnings as you advance
- A structured training program and ongoing coaching
- A clear, defined path from consultation to reveal
- A warm, non-toxic, mission-driven studio culture
- The rare privilege of guiding a client from her first nervous phone call to the moment she falls in love with her portraits
How to apply
Attention to detail matters to us. Send an email with the subject line including the phrase "I love people and want to help empower them!" and include:
1. Your resume
2. A brief description of your sales or client-facing experience
3. A link to a 2-minute video (Loom, unlisted YouTube, or Google Drive) introducing yourself and why you'd thrive in a luxury, emotionally driven sales environment
Applications without all three will not be considered.
