Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Commis au comptoir to join our vibrant food service team! You will be responsible for preparing food items, operating POS systems, handling cash transactions, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and assist them with menu selections, upselling items to enhance their experience
- Prepare food items accurately and efficiently according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process orders and payments swiftly and accurately
- Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, food prep stations, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations




- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
- Assist in food handling tasks such as portioning, packaging, and replenishing supplies as needed

Experience

- Prior food service experience or restaurant background preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and transparent communication abilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
- Experience in the food industry or serving roles is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
