Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Concession Manager to lead our food service operations at a large community centre snack bar in Whitby. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily concession activities, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and manage a dedicated team to deliver high-quality food and service. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, uphold food safety standards, and foster a welcoming workplace for guests.

Duties

- Supervise daily concession operations, including food preparation, serving, and cash handling to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of food service staff, including interviewing candidates, training new employees, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Oversee food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to meet health regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Coordinate food inventory levels, place orders as needed, and ensure proper storage to minimize waste and control costs.




- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly, resolving issues professionally, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations while fostering a team environment focused on hospitality excellence.
- Possess and maintain first aid certification, food handling certification etc.

Skills

- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, serving, and restaurant management within the food industry is an important asset
- Strong leadership skills with prior supervising experience in hospitality or food service settings.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations gracefully.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to manage cash handling procedures accurately while maintaining attention to detail.

- Business operates at various hours, including prime opening times as evenings and weekends
- Pay will be $18/hr plus tips and bonus depending on sales
