Merrick Global Talent is recruiting a Psychiatrist to join a multidisciplinary medical clinic in the Windermere area of southwest Edmonton, Alberta.

The clinic brings together Family Physicians, specialists and allied healthcare professionals, creating a team-oriented setting for patient care.

The incoming Psychiatrist will join on an initial two-year agreement, working on a 20/80 fee-for-service split, with the physician retaining 80% of billings.

The clinic expects the position to offer earning potential of approximately $800,000 CAD annually, depending on clinical activity, billings and individual working patterns. The clinic will also provide and support a consistent patient flow for the successful physician.

You will have the opportunity to develop a substantial Psychiatry practice within a community-based medical clinic serving patients across Edmonton.

The position would suit a Psychiatrist who values independence while still wanting access to an existing network of physicians and healthcare professionals.

The clinic is prepared to support a significant volume of patients, allowing the successful Psychiatrist to focus on clinical practice rather than having to build a patient base from scratch.

The exact scope of practice can be discussed around the experience and clinical interests of the appointed physician.

Applications are welcomed from Psychiatrists already practising in Canada, as well as internationally trained Psychiatrists whose specialist qualifications may be recognised through Alberta's Approved Jurisdiction Route.

- United Kingdom: Royal College of Psychiatrists
- Australia and New Zealand: Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists
- United States: American Board or American Osteopathic Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Hong Kong: Hong Kong College of Psychiatrists through the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine
- Singapore: recognised specialist Psychiatry training through the approved Singapore training institutions
- South Africa:



recognised specialist Psychiatry training through the Health Professions Council of South Africa and Colleges of Medicine of South Africa
- Switzerland: recognised specialist Psychiatry training through the Swiss Medical Association

UK-trained Consultant Psychiatrists with recognised Royal College of Psychiatrists specialist training are particularly encouraged to apply.

Eligible physicians from approved jurisdictions may have a more direct route towards registration with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta.
