Overview & Responsibilities:New Asian Village Restaurant is seeking a dedicated, experienced full-time Cook to join our team in Edmonton. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of daily kitchen operations and food preparation.

Cuisine: East Indian and South Indian

Core Tasks & Duties: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization. Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods. Inspect kitchens and food service areas. Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment. Clean kitchen and work areas. * Manage kitchen operations.

Qualifications & Requirements: * Education:



Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of commercial cooking experience.

Credentials: Protected Food Handling certificate (or willingness to obtain)

- Language: English (oral and written communication capabilities).

Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure with close attention to detail.
