Responsibilities

- Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools to uphold health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, sinks, dishwashing machines, and storage areas
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen workflow
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste and recyclables to keep the workspace tidy
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely availability of clean items for food service
- Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly to prevent accidents or contamination




- Restock dishware and utensils in their designated areas for easy access during service hours

Requirements

- Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key!
- Strong understanding of cleaning protocols, food handling, and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations including food preparation and food service practices
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting busy kitchen environments
- Familiarity with hotel or food service experience is a plus but not required
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety at all times
