Dynamic Thermal Imaging is an electrical thermography and testing company with offices in Halifax and Calgary. We serve clients across Canada and the Northern Territories, delivering infrared inspection reports that meet CSA Z463 and NFPA 70B standards through our own reporting platform.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Halifax-based Electrician / Thermographer to perform infrared inspections and electrical testing at client facilities. This is a field-based role that requires approximately 50% out-of-province travel and the ability to work independently.
We place a high value on attitude and professionalism. Technical skills can be taught. The right candidate communicates confidently with tradespeople on site and engineers in the boardroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform infrared thermographic inspections of electrical distribution equipment
- Test and inspect low and medium voltage distribution equipment, including large circuit breakers and protection relays
- Complete accurate, timely inspection reports
- Travel out of province approximately 50% of the time
- Independently book and manage travel and accommodations
- Represent the company professionally with clients,
facility staff, and engineers
Required Qualifications
- Residence in Halifax, NS or the surrounding area
- Journeyperson Electrician certificate
- Experience with electrical power distribution systems
- Willingness to travel out of province approximately 50% of the time
- Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
- Robust communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Thermography certification (any level)
- Experience testing large circuit breakers and protection relays
- Experience with low and medium voltage distribution equipment
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting wage of $40.00 per hour, with room to grow
