Role Description The Experienced Account Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in West Vancouver, BC, responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of personal and/or commercial insurance clients. Day-to-day, the role includes advising clients on coverage options, preparing quotes, processing renewals and endorsements, and handling policy changes promptly and accurately.

The Account

Executive will respond to client inquiries, support claims reporting and follow-up, and collaborate with underwriters and insurers to secure suitable terms and pricing. The role also involves identifying opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling, maintaining detailed documentation in the agency management system, and contributing to continuous improvement in client service standards.





Qualifications

- Strong client service and relationship management skills, including active listening, clear communication, and a solutions-focused approach.
- Sales and business development capabilities, with experience in prospecting, cross-selling, and maintaining a profitable book of business.
- Insurance technical knowledge, such as familiarity with personal and/or commercial lines products, policy wording, underwriting practices, and claims processes.
- Administrative and organizational skills, including accuracy in documentation, proficiency with insurance management systems, and effective time management.
- Skilled communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain coverage in accessible terms and negotiate with markets when needed.
- Relevant licensing or designation (e.g., Level 2 General Insurance License, CAIB or CIP) or eligibility/willingness to obtain required credentials.
- Several years of experience in an insurance account executive, account manager, or broker role, preferably within a brokerage environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues while taking initiative and ownership of client outcomes.
- Comfort working on-site in West Vancouver, BC, and engaging with local clients and community stakeholders.
