Protein Point is a healthy grab-and-go food business specializing in high-protein, nutritious meals and snacks. Our goal is to make healthy eating convenient, delicious, and accessible.

We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and reliable team member who enjoys interacting with customers, has basic kitchen preparation knowledge, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized food service workplace.

This is a hands-on, all-rounder position. The successful candidate will be responsible for customer engagement and sales, basic kitchen preparation, dishwashing, and end-of-day closing duties.

Key Responsibilities

1. Front Counter & Customer Engagement

- Proactively greet every customer walking past our stall with a friendly attitude.
- Approach potential customers, offer samples, and encourage them to try our products.
- Confidently explain our menu, high-protein meals, ingredients, and product benefits.
- Actively promote our products to increase customer interest and sales.
- Answer customer questions and provide friendly, qualified service.
- Take orders, process payments, and operate the point-of-sale system.
- Keep the front counter, product displays, and serving area clean and attractive.

2. Kitchen Preparation & Food Handling

- Assist with daily food preparation, portioning, assembling, and packaging meals.
- Follow proper thawing, reheating, temperature-control, and food-handling procedures.
- Handle prepared and pre-cooked food safely according to established procedures.
- Maintain proper food storage, labelling, and rotation practices.
- Follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Keep kitchen equipment and food preparation areas clean and organized.

Training will be provided on Protein Point's specific preparation methods and procedures. However,



candidates must already have a basic understanding of kitchen operations and safe food handling. 3. Dishwashing & Closing Duties

- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, containers, and kitchen equipment.
- Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, counters, and equipment.
- Complete end-of-day cleaning and closing tasks.
- Store food properly and ensure refrigeration and food storage areas are organized.
- Dispose of waste and leave the stall clean and ready for the next business day.

Requirements
- Basic kitchen or food preparation experience.
- A valid food safety or food handler certificate, or willingness to obtain one if accepted by the employer.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- A friendly, outgoing personality and confidence approaching customers.
- A proactive attitude toward promoting products, offering samples, and generating sales.
- Understanding of basic food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to multitask in a busy market environment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties, including lifting supplies and washing dishes.
- Availability to work scheduled market operating hours, including weekends as required.

Work Schedule & Employment Type
- Position: Part-time
- Workdays: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Approximate hours:
- Friday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Sunday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Estimated weekly hours: Approximately 14 hours per week.

Please note that these hours are approximate and may vary depending on business needs, customer traffic, and operational requirements. Additional hours may occasionally be available, while weekly hours may also fluctuate. Candidates must have availability to work on all three days, particularly Fridays.
