Why Fred Victor?
For 130 years, Fred Victor has been a leader in helping people rebuild their lives in Toronto. Our mission is to improve the health, income and housing stability of people experiencing poverty and homelessness. We are committed to ending homelessness, one person at a time.
We are seeking a skilled, proactive, and versatile Full Stack Application Developer to take ownership of our technical application portfolio. The Full Stack Application Developer will be responsible for the technical stewardship,
stabilization, enhancement, security, development, and ongoing operation of the Central Client Database (CCD), the organization’s public website, Fred’s Kitchen website, and other internal and external web-based platforms. The role combines hands-on software development with application support, infrastructure coordination, release management, documentation, and collaboration with program, data, research, privacy, security, IT, communications and leadership stakeholders.
The Full Stack Application Developer will help transition CCD from a project-based solution into a reliable, secure,
maintainable and continuously evolving organization-wide platform while delivering roadmap priorities related to user adoption, service restrictions, occupancy tracking, program directories, referrals, dashboards, and organizational reporting.
The Full Stack Application Developer will work across the full application lifecycle, including reviewing business requirements and findings from third-party assessments, translating requirements and recommendations into technical solutions, designing and developing functionality, testing and deploying changes, monitoring production performance, troubleshooting issues, and continuously improving application reliability, security, usability, and maintainability.

- Monitor availability, performance, errors, capacity, and data-processing jobs; investigate incidents and restore
service within agreed priorities.
- Plan and perform dependency patching, certificate and domain renewals, database maintenance, performance
tuning,
