Legendary Hospitality is looking for an experienced Head Bartender to lead the bar at Sketti & Ball Co. This is a permanent, year-round, hands-on leadership role. You’ll work behind the bar every shift, lead the bar team, and own our beverage program.

You’ll report to the Assistant Manager and General Manager. We want a passionate, hard-working bartender who is ready to take the next step into leadership. Our core values are focused around the people we employ and the guests we serve, and we are looking for like-minded individuals.

Responsibilities

- Lead the bar during lunch, dinner and late-night service, setting the pace and standard for the team
- Mix, pour, garnish and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications
- Develop and maintain the cocktail, wine, beer and non-alcoholic menu with management,



including seasonal features
- Create recipe specs and pour standards, and help cost out new drinks
- Conduct bar inventory counts, place orders, and receive and verify deliveries
- Help control liquor costs and reduce waste, comps and spills
- Train and coach bartenders and bar backs on recipes, product knowledge and service standards
- Provide input on bar scheduling and supervise the bar team on shift
- Verify age requirements and make sure the whole bar team serves responsibly (Serve Right)
- Open and close the bar, process payments and keep the bar fully stocked
- Know the food and beverage menus thoroughly, and promote specials and features to guests
- Follow all health and safety and food safety policies, and keep the work area clean and sanitized
- Deliver a Legendary guest experience

About you

- 3+ years bartending in a high-volume restaurant or bar, including lead or senior bartender experience
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine, beer and cocktail recipes
- Bar inventory and ordering experience is an asset
- Aloha POS experience is an asset
- Serve Right certification (or willing to obtain before first shift)
- Must be punctual and reliable, able to lead a team and work independently, and have a strong work ethic
- Available evenings, weekends and holidays
- Advanced English language skills

Work Environment

- Physical demands include walking and standing, bending, kneeling, repetitive twisting and lifting, and repetitive arm movements
- May be required to work outside on the patio during the summer season
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs (cases, kegs and ice)

Work Authorization

- Must be authorized to legally work in Canada
