Join our supportive local care team at RAH Saanich Home Care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors in our community! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, one-on-one companion and personal care directly inside our clients' private homes.

Unlike high-stress facility shift work, we focus on personalized care that promotes independence, comfort, and well-being for one senior at a time. This position offers competitive pay ($24.50 to $28.00/hour based on experience) and absolute schedule flexibility, making it an ideal fit for local students, career-changers, and dedicated caregivers.

Duties

- Personal Support: Assist friendly seniors with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary preferences and assist with light grocery runs.
- Home Support: Help with light housekeeping tasks (such as tidying up, laundry, or washing dishes) to maintain a clean, comfortable home workplace.
- Companionship: Provide meaningful companionship, conversation, and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or anxiety.




- Errands & Outings: Accompany clients to local appointments, community activities, or walks around the neighborhood.
- Documentation: Note basic daily activities and report any major changes in health or well-being to our local office team.

Experience

- A Caring Heart: Strong communication skills and a compassionate, reliable attitude are your most important assets.
- HCA Certification: Successful completion of Health Care Assistant (HCA) program.
- Safety Credentials: Valid First Aid/CPR certification and a clean Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain them before your start date).
- Mobility: A valid BC driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is a massive plus for community transit between clients.
- Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work consistent part-time/casual hours built completely around your personal availability or college class schedules.

Pay: $24.50-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 25.0 per week
