Elysian Coffee Roasters | Vancouver, BC | 26–34 hours per week | $20–$25/hour tips

Elysian Coffee is looking for a versatile, motivated Hybrid Baker & Barista to join our team. This role combines production baking in our commissary kitchen with barista shifts at our 7th & Ontario cafe. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys learning and is happy moving between both roles.

What you'll be doing:

Production Baking

- Preparing, packing and organizing orders for our four cafes
- Making muffin batters, scone mixes, cookie dough, bars, loaves, double-baked croissants, sauces and syrups
- Using large-format mixers and production equipment to prepare and portion larger batches
- Maintaining an organized workspace, washing dishes and completing end-of-shift cleaning and weekly deep cleaning

Barista Work

- Preparing espresso-based drinks, filter coffee, matcha and other beverages to Elysian's standards
- Dialling in espresso, steaming milk and pouring latte art
- Providing warm, attentive and delightful customer service
- Working with your team to maintain a pleasant atmosphere and high product quality
- Understanding workflow to know when its the best time to clean and organize

What will your schedule look like?

- 26–34 hours per week, split between baking and barista shifts
- Typically around two shifts of each type per week, depending on scheduling needs
- Weekday and weekend availability required

Who we're looking for?

- At least one year of commercial kitchen experience and one year of barista experience
- Production bakery experience is an asset
- FoodSafe certification required
- Confident making espresso drinks and interested in improving your coffee skills




- Able to lift and handle items weighing up to 25 kg
- Strong attention to detail, organization and multitasking skills
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and maintaining high standards
- Clear communicator with a positive attitude and willingness to speak up when something could be better
- Curious, proactive and interested in experimenting with new recipes
- Reliable, with weekend availability and flexibility to work across both roles
