About Us

Sportball is a leading Canadian provider of non-competitive sports instruction programs designed to introduce children as young as 16 months to a variety of sports. Our programs focus on developing fundamental movement skills across eight sports: soccer, hockey, football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, tennis, and golf.

Position Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are passionate about working with young children. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in sports and a genuine love for creating a supportive and fun environment for kids aged 16 months to 12 years. Previous experience working with children is an asset, as well as the ability to engage and inspire young learners. This position requires the individual to travel to Waterloo, Kitchener and Cambridge areas.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead sports instruction and physical education programs for children
- Keep children safe and occupied with fun activities
- Teach the fundamentals of baseball, soccer, football, basketball, volleyball, hockey, tennis, and golf
- Work with other coaches and staff to create a positive and supportive workplace
- Coach Saturday and Sunday mornings and afternoons
- Transporting equipment to/from each shift location is required, so personal transportation is necessary




- Independent coaching after comprehensive online and on-the-job training

Requirements

- Located in or able to commute to programs in Guelph, ON
- Passion for working with children and fostering their development through sports
- Previous experience with children or in childcare
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and a clean background
- Flexibility to work evening shifts and weekends

Schedule

- Weekends
- Monday to Friday availability
- Evening shifts (however, you will not work past 8 PM)

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour, with the potential to increase to up to $32.00 per hour as you gain experience and advance within the role. We look forward to having you join our team!
