Kitchen Team Member / Kitchen Helper

O’Key Buffet Restaurant – Pincher Creek, AB

O’Key Buffet is looking for reliable and hardworking team members to join our kitchen team.

This is a hands-on kitchen position involving food preparation, cooking support, buffet replenishment, cleaning, and other daily kitchen tasks. We are looking for someone who works well with others, can stay organized during busy service periods, and is willing to learn.

Restaurant or kitchen experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

Main Responsibilities

- Prepare vegetables, meat, sauces, and other ingredients for daily service
- Assist with cooking, frying, reheating, and preparing buffet dishes
- Refill buffet items promptly and help maintain food quality and freshness
- Follow recipes, portion standards, and kitchen procedures
- Label, store, and rotate food properly
- Maintain clean and sanitary workstations, equipment, floors, and preparation areas
- Assist with dishwashing and general cleaning when needed
- Follow food safety, temperature-control, and sanitation procedures
- Work together with the kitchen team during lunch and dinner service

What We’re Looking For





- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Able to work in a busy kitchen environment
- Previous restaurant or commercial kitchen experience is preferred
- Experience with buffet, Asian, Chinese, or high-volume food preparation is an asset
- Able to follow instructions and recipes
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting/carrying kitchen supplies
- Available for some evenings, weekends, and holidays
