Position Overview As our Lead Service Plumber / Working Foreman, you'll remain actively involved in daily plumbing work while taking on additional responsibilities supporting our team and field operations.

This is a hands-on leadership position, ideal for someone who enjoys working in the trade but also wants to take the next step professionally.

You'll work closely with the company owner to help maintain quality standards, support apprentices, improve efficiency, and ensure our customers receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities





Service Plumbing & Installations

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential plumbing systems
- Perform hot water tank replacements and installations, including gas and electric systems
- Complete plumbing work for bathroom and kitchen renovations
- Perform plumbing repairs, fixture replacements, and general service work
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to applicable BC codes and regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicle

Leadership & Team Development

- Provide guidance, training, and supervision to plumbing apprentices
- Lead by example through professionalism, reliability, and quality workmanship
- Help develop apprentices' technical skills and confidence
- Support additional journeyman plumbers as the company grows
- Promote a positive, respectful, and accountable team environment

Field Operations & Customer Service

- Assist with coordinating daily jobs and planning material requirements
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and customers
- Provide accurate job information and updates to the office
- Identify potential issues before they become costly problems
- Help improve job efficiency, organization, and overall service quality
- Work closely with ownership to support the company's continued growth

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a journeyman plumber
- Recognized journeyperson plumbing certification (Red Seal preferred)
- Valid BC gas certification appropriate for the work performed
- Solid experience in residential service plumbing and troubleshooting
- Experience installing and replacing residential hot water tanks
- Experience with renovation plumbing
- Valid driver's licence and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience training or supervising apprentices
- Experience coordinating multiple plumbing jobs or small crews
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with service management software such as Jobber
- Interest in developing leadership and management skills
- Ability to identify ways to improve field productivity and operations

Previous foreman or management experience is an asset, but not required. We're willing to invest in an experienced journeyman who demonstrates the right attitude, leadership potential, and commitment to growing with our company.
