Job Overview

Mid Island Mobile Detailing is looking for a reliable, hardworking and outgoing Mobile Auto Detailer to join us in the Comox Valley. We have customer jobs booked through October and need someone who can start right away.

You'll help complete mobile interior, exterior and full vehicle details, along with headlight refreshes.

The position starts part time with variable hours based on customer bookings. Additional paid hours may also be available through door-to-door customer outreach, flyer distribution and generating new bookings.

Paid hands-on training is provided before completing jobs independently. This position is best suited to someone dependable, efficient, comfortable working independently and confident speaking with customers.

Compensation

$21 per hour for all hours worked. Paid training, detailing equipment and cleaning products are provided. Opportunities for increased pay may be available as the role and business grow.

Responsibilities

- Complete mobile interior, exterior and full vehicle details

- Complete headlight refreshes
- Follow company detailing procedures and final inspection standards
- Work efficiently while maintaining consistent quality
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Take before-and-after photos
- Perform paid door-to-door/customer outreach when scheduled
- Help generate and book future customer jobs




- Collect payments and provide receipts when required
- Transport, clean, restock and care for company equipment
- Accurately record hours, breaks and job times

- Comfortable doing customer outreach when needed

Previous automotive detailing, cleaning, pressure washing, landscaping, sales or customer-service experience is an asset but not required.

Requirements

- Valid driver's licence
- Reliable insured vehicle with space for a compact mobile detailing setup
- Ability to work throughout Comox, Courtenay and surrounding areas
- Comfortable with outdoor/mobile work and occasional door-to-door outreach
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Available October 19 and 20 for paid training

Schedule Part-time to start, with hours varying based on customer bookings. Typically 1–3 shifts per week initially, with the opportunity for additional detailing and paid outreach hours as the business grows. Weekday and weekend availability is an asset.
