Great Minds Academy is a fast-growing tutoring centre in Calgary specializing in Math, English, Science, and STEM enrichment programs. We are now expanding into coding, robotics, and Python programming to prepare students for future tech careers.

We believe in building confidence, problem-solving skills, and real-world learning through hands-on education.

Duties

We are hiring a Computer Science student or STEM-focused university student to join our team as a Coding & Robotics Instructor.

You will teach

- Beginner coding (block-based programming)
- Robotics using LEGO-based systems
- Introductory Python programming.

We are looking for strong technical ability and good communication with kids.

Responsibilities

- Teach coding and robotics classes for students aged 6–14
- Guide students through structured lesson plans and projects
- Support hands-on robotics activities and troubleshooting
- Explain basic programming concepts (logic, loops,



conditionals, etc.)
- Maintain a positive, engaging classroom environment
- Track student progress and provide feedback to parents.

Requirements

- Experience with robotics kits (LEGO, Arduino, VEX, etc.)
- Experience tutoring or teaching
- Knowledge of Python, Java, C++,Scratch, or block coding tools
- Interest in AI, robotics, or engineering
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Computer Science, Engineering, or related program
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Passion for STEM education
