Lead the intellectual property function at Lyten as the new Patent & IP Counsel. This unique role demands hands-on drafting and patent strategy while closely aligning with product development teams. Lyten is seeking an experienced Patent & IP Counsel to spearhead its IP efforts.

You will manage patent filings, perform freedom-to-operate analyses, and ensure alignment with market strategies in energy and materials innovation. The role blends strategic leadership with practical patent prosecution duties, creating a significant impact in various sectors, including batteries and sensors. Key Responsibilities:

- Drive the overall patent strategy and filing prioritization
- Lead patent claim and FTO strategy development
- Review invention disclosures and collaborate with inventors




- Manage the annual patent budget and outside counsel
- Oversee IP diligence in acquisitions and asset purchases Requirements:
- J.D. and active state law license; USPTO registration required
- 7+ years of IP experience with direct drafting
- Bachelor's in relevant science/engineering discipline
- Robust drafting skills for licensing and confidentiality agreements
