Personal Support Worker (PSW)

Part-time to full-time employee Kitchener-Waterloo & area $26–30/hour

Now hiring for afternoon and evening shifts — consistent hours with one or 2 clients and their families.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Tired of big agencies, back-to-back rushed visits and never seeing the same client twice? At Wellura you'll give hands-on personal care to a small number of clients in their homes, with one dedicated Care Coordinator and the time to do the job properly. You'll also help shape our care standards as we grow — and there's a real path to leadership if you want it.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Personal care: bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, mobility and transfers
- Meals & medication: meal prep and feeding support; medication assistance and reminders per care plan, within PSW scope
- Clinical support: vital signs, repositioning, range-of-motion, skin, incontinence and ostomy care
- Evening & bedtime routines: help clients settle in safely and comfortably for the night
- Communication: document every visit, flag changes early, and keep families and your Care Coordinator informed
- Lead by example: mentor Companion Caregivers and help refine our protocols and training

WHAT YOU BRING

Required

- Ontario-recognized PSW certificate
- 2+ years in home care or long-term care
- Current First Aid & CPR




- Transparent Vulnerable Sector Check
- Full G licence and your own reliable vehicle
- Auto insurance that covers driving clients (a condition of employment)
- Comfortable with digital documentation and scheduling

Nice to have

- 1+ year in home care specifically
- Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's or palliative experience
- Mentoring/training experience or extra certifications

PAY & PERKS

- $26–30/hour based on experience (top of range for 5+ years or specialized skills), plus 4% vacation pay
- Paid training and on-boarding; mileage reimbursement for client transport
- 9-15 hours/week to start, with input on your schedule
- Growth path: PSW → Senior PSW → Care Coordinator or Quality & Training Lead, as we scale
