Luigi’s Lasagna & Pizzeria is looking for an experienced Pizza Maker to join our busy kitchen team.
We are an established, high-volume independent pizzeria that has been serving Milton for over 13 years. We specialize in stone-baked pizzas, fresh dough made in-house, pastas, lasagna, wings, sandwiches and more.
This is not an entry-level pizza-making position. We are looking for someone who already has solid pizza experience and can confidently work in a busy environment.
SCHEDULE
11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Friday and Saturday availability is MANDATORY.
Applicants must be reliable and consistently available for their scheduled shifts.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR The ideal candidate should have experience with:
- Making pizzas from start to finish
- Hand stretching and opening fresh pizza dough
- Working with fresh, fermented dough
- Saucing, cheesing and topping pizzas quickly and accurately
- Proper topping portions and presentation
- Making multiple pizzas at the same time during busy periods
- Using and managing a stone pizza oven
- Loading, rotating and removing pizzas from the oven
- Understanding proper pizza bake, colour and doneness
- Working quickly without sacrificing food quality
- Following recipes and portion standards consistently
- Preparing ingredients and completing kitchen prep
- Maintaining a clean and organized pizza station
- Working efficiently during high-volume lunch and dinner rushes
THE PERSON WE NEED We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous professional pizza-making experience
- Has experience with a stone oven
- Works with urgency and moves quickly
- Can stay organized while handling several orders at once
- Takes pride in making a great-looking pizza every time
- Is dependable and arrives on time
- Can work independently without needing constant supervision
- Is willing to learn and follow Luigi’s recipes, procedures and standards
- Works well with other kitchen staff and delivery drivers
- Communicates respectfully with coworkers and customers
- Keeps their station clean throughout the shift
- Uses downtime productively for prep, cleaning and restocking
- Can handle working
Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 44.0 per week
