Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality massage therapy treatments tailored to individual client needs, utilizing various techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or therapeutic massage
- Assess clients’ health history and discuss their wellness goals to develop customized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed treatment records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments or referrals when necessary
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation protocols and maintaining equipment
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns and provide clear explanations of procedures and benefits
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and continuing education requirements
Qualifications
- Valid registration and licensing as a Massage Therapist from the appropriate regulatory body
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and client health assessments
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect empathetically with diverse clients
- Excellent communication skills for explaining treatment plans and answering client questions
- Prior experience in a clinical or spa setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
