Heart & Soul Cleaning is a locally owned cleaning company providing thoughtful, high-quality residential cleaning throughout Winnipeg and surrounding areas.

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking and positive individual to join our team long-term.

This is a part-time, permanent position, with the opportunity for additional hours as our company continues to grow.

What the Position Is Like

Residential cleaning is active, hands-on work. You will travel between client homes throughout Winnipeg and surrounding areas and may work both independently and alongside other team members.

Our clients’ homes are scheduled for a specific amount of cleaning time. An important part of this position is being able to work at a steady and efficient pace while maintaining our high standards for quality and attention to detail.

We provide hands-on paid training, clear cleaning procedures and ongoing support to help you become comfortable and confident in the role.

Responsibilities

- Perform detailed residential cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- Dust and wipe furniture, surfaces, baseboards, doors and other detailed areas
- Vacuum carpets, stairs and other areas as required
- Wash floors and complete routine floor care
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms
- Complete occasional laundry-related tasks when requested
- Follow customized client checklists and instructions
- Use our natural cleaning products and established cleaning methods
- Treat clients’ homes and belongings with care and respect
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients and team members
- Work efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled cleaning times
- Maintain consistent quality and attention to detail throughout the workday
- Work independently when required and contribute positively when working as part of a team

Previous professional cleaning experience is an asset, but it is not required. We are happy to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, is dependable and genuinely wants to learn.

Requirements

Applicants must

- Have a valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- Have their own reliable personal vehicle
- Be willing and able to drive independently between client homes throughout Winnipeg and surrounding areas
- Be available to work weekdays during daytime hours
- Be physically comfortable performing active residential cleaning throughout the workday
- Be comfortable working in homes with pets
- Be able to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
- Provide a satisfactory criminal record check dated within the past 12 months
- Successfully complete a three-month probationary period

Compensation & Paid Training Training wage: $18.00 per hour

Heart & Soul Cleaning provides hands-on paid training. Because everyone learns at a different pace, the length of the training period will vary by employee.

Training is considered successfully completed once an employee demonstrates that they can consistently:

- Complete assigned cleaning tasks to Heart & Soul Cleaning standards




- Complete all required tasks without routinely missing areas that need to be corrected afterward
- Follow client-specific instructions and our established cleaning procedures
- Work with increasing independence without requiring ongoing supervision
- Maintain quality and attention to detail
- Complete assigned tasks within the scheduled cleaning time at an appropriate and efficient working pace

Once these training expectations are consistently demonstrated, the wage increases to $20.00 per hour. After successful completion of the three-month probationary period, the wage increases to $21.00 per hour.

A gas allowance is also provided for work-related travel between client homes.
