Role Description The Retail Store Associate is a full-time, on-site role based at the Montmartre Bakery location in Scarborough, ON. This role is responsible for greeting customers, assisting with product selection, answering questions about bakery items, and processing sales at the point of sale system. Daily tasks include maintaining a clean and organized store environment, restocking shelves and display cases, and monitoring product freshness and presentation.

The associate supports inventory checks, helps receive and organize stock, and communicates customer feedback to the team. This role also involves working closely with colleagues to ensure an efficient workflow and a welcoming, customer-focused atmosphere.

- Manage time effectively to balance multiple tasks, including checkout, restocking, and customer assistance

Experience

- Previous retail sales experience or technical sales background is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and transactions
- Experience with merchandising, product demos, or technology sales enhances your fit for this role
- Excellent organizational skills to keep the store tidy, stocked, and well-presented
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high customer service standards
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and upselling techniques is advantageous
