ICEAVIK Nordic Wellness Spa is preparing to open Newfoundland & Labrador’s first Nordic wellness destination. ICEAVIK will offer a unique and luxurious experience that combines advanced wellness treatments with elements of Nordic tradition and design. We are looking for a Sauna Master (Aufguss) to help create one of the most distinctive parts of the ICEAVIK experience.

This is more than a traditional sauna attendant role. You will lead guests through memorable sauna rituals that combine heat, movement, aroma, music, storytelling and atmosphere to create an immersive and restorative experience. As a Sauna Master / Nordic Ritual Guide, you will be responsible for leading engaging, thoughtfully designed sauna experiences while maintaining a safe, welcoming and respectful environment.

You will bring energy and personality to each ritual while ensuring that every guest feels comfortable, included and cared for.

Key Responsibilities

-Leads scheduled sauna rituals and guided thermal experiences for ICEAVIK guests.

-Develop and deliver engaging sauna experiences incorporating heat, aromatic elements, music, movement, towel techniques and storytelling.

-Create a welcoming atmosphere before, during and after each ritual.

-Educate guests on sauna etiquette, thermal experiences and appropriate use of the sauna environment.

-Monitor sauna conditions, guest comfort, safety and overall presentation.

-Adjust the experience appropriately based on group size, guest needs and environmental conditions.

-Bring creativity and personality to rituals while maintaining a calm, professional and authentic Nordic atmosphere.

-Engage directly with guests, answer questions and contribute to an exceptional overall guest experience.





-Maintain cleanliness, organization and presentation of the sauna and surrounding wellness areas.

-Monitor supplies such as towels, aromatherapy materials and other ritual equipment.

-Communicate maintenance, safety or operational concerns promptly to the appropriate team member.

-Work closely with the Spa Manager, Guest Experience Associates, Nordic Spa Attendants and other members of the ICEAVIK team.

-Participate in the development and refinement of ICEAVIK's sauna rituals, programming and guest experience standards.

-Follow all established health, safety and operating procedures.

-Assist with special events, seasonal programming and other wellness experiences as required.

We're looking for someone who can combine hospitality, presence and creativity with a genuine interest in sauna and wellness.

Experience in one or more of the following is an asset:

- Aufguss or guided sauna rituals
- Nordic or thermal spa environments
- Hospitality or guest experience
- Fitness, yoga, meditation or other heat-based wellness practices
- Performing arts, theatre, music or storytelling
- Recreation, wellness or experiential programming.

- Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Reliable, professional and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending and moving equipment throughout a shift.
- Able to lift, carry and move supplies and equipment as required.
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
