About the Role Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join their security operations center (SOC) in Kimberley . This role is pivotal in detecting, analyzing, and responding to sophisticated cyber threats targeting the organization's critical systems and data. You will play a lead role in threat hunting, incident management, and the continuous improvement of security monitoring capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the investigation and response to complex security incidents, coordinating efforts across multiple teams.
- Conduct advanced threat hunting exercises to proactively identify indicators of compromise (IOCs) and adversary tactics.
- Analyze security logs, network traffic, and endpoint data to detect advanced persistent threats (APTs) and sophisticated attacks.
- Develop and tune security detection rules and alerts within SIEM and other security tools.
- Mentor junior analysts, providing guidance on threat analysis and incident response best practices.




- Contribute to the development and refinement of SOC playbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in information security analysis , with a strong focus on SOC operations and incident response.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems, malware analysis, and attack methodologies.
- Proficiency in using SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security solutions, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Robust communication and teamwork abilities, essential for collaborating within the SOC and with other departments.
