We are seeking a motivated and dependable Snow Removal Labourers to join our dynamic outdoor maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and accessible pathways, driveways, and parking areas during winter months by efficiently removing snow and ice. Your proactive approach will help maintain a safe environment for both staff and visitors, contributing to the smooth operation of our facilities regardless of weather conditions.

This position offers an energetic work workplace where your efforts directly impact safety and accessibility. Seasonal, with hours dependent on weather conditions.

Responsibilities

- Operate snow removal equipment such as shovels, snow blowers, or backpack blowers.
- Assess weather conditions regularly to plan effective snow and ice removal strategies
- Maintain clear walkways, driveways and entrances to ensure safety for all users
- Apply salt or other de-icing materials to prevent ice formation and reduce slip hazards
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report maintenance concerns.




- Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts efficiently during heavy snowfall events
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly to supervisors

Requirements

- Previous experience with snow removal or outdoor maintenance is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment such as snow blowers is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance and troubleshooting of outdoor equipment is a plus
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour in cold weather conditions for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license is required depending on the scope of equipment operation
