Job Overview The Quality Engineer (QE) is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing up-to-date quality engineering practices across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This role focuses on automation-first testing strategies, API validation, performance engineering, and scalable quality frameworks to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing applications.
The QE will work closely with Development, DevOps, Product, Infrastructure, and Release teams to build and maintain automated testing frameworks, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, and proactively identify risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.
This role requires hands-on expertise with modern testing and automation tools including AI-assisted testing platforms, Docker, Postman, Karate, StormRunner, and Playwright.
Role and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Implement automation strategies using tools such as Playwright, Karate, and Postman.
- Develop reusable test libraries, utilities, and automation components to improve efficiency and consistency across projects.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
- Perform API validation, exploratory testing, and service integration testing using Postman and Karate.
- Design and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing using StormRunner and related performance testing tools.
- Configure and maintain test environments using Docker and containerized services.
- Promote shift-left testing practices and quality ownership across teams.
Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency through AI-assisted testing techniques and intelligent automation.

Preferred Skills
- Experience working within financial services or other highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and intelligent automation frameworks.
- Experience testing microservices and distributed architectures.
- Knowledge of security testing principles and secure development practices.
Work Ethic & Attitude

- Self-motivated, proactive, and reliable, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a problem-solving mindset and a "can-do" attitude.
- Strong initiative and planning skills, contributing to both individual and departmental success.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 3+ years of progressive experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or Test Automation.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Karate, Postman, Docker, and performance testing tools such as StormRunner.
